KlezWeCan Workshop in Basel
We are hosting our second Klezmer workshop for instrumentalists in Basel: March 27-29, 2020.
Dive into the fascinating world of Klezmer and experience one of the most multi-faceted traditional music styles with us. Guided by historic recordings we will explore tonalities, rhythms and ornamentation that make this music special. We will not limit ourselves to the traditional ways of interpretations but also look at modern approaches.

Who can take part?
All instruments are welcome! All levels! You should be secure enough on your instrument to play easy melodies at sight. You need to be 16 or older.
Where does it take place?
Basel-city, Switzerland
What’s the language?
The main language will be German. However, we will translate into English as needed.
How much does it cost?
The fee for the weekend is CHF 240 for people with a regular/higher income. CHF 100 for students, or people with lower income. If you feel you are able to contribute more, you are more than welcome to donate and thus enable someone who is less well-off to also take part.
